Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss the sky

For this week’s photo challenge, my horizon is where water meets temple meets mountain meets sky.

This confluence of elements was part of the well-thought out plan of positioning Korean palaces.

Last year’s work trip brought me to exciting Seoul, South Korea – home of K-pop stars, a thousand make-up stores, Korean barbeque and the Gyeongbokgung Palace or the “Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven”.  The palace though has been pillaged, burned and sacked over its history that anyone would question its “greatly blessed” status.  But, perhaps the fact that the Koreans have fought to reconstruct this beautiful palace is the blessing that has kept it alive.
